RF-35 laminate belongs to Taconic's ORCER (Organic Ceramic) series of organic-ceramic laminate materials. It utilizes woven glass as its reinforcing structure, embodying Taconic's proficient integration of ceramic filling technology and coated polytetrafluoride (PTFE) fiberglass manufacturing know-how.
Taconic RF-35 PCB stands out as the optimal option for commercial microwave and radio frequency applications that demand low costs and high-volume production. Notably, it demonstrates remarkable peel strength when paired with 1/2 ounce and 1 ounce copper layers. This characteristic surpasses that of standard epoxy glass materials, making it highly advantageous for rework processes.
With a glass transition temperature (Tg) surpassing 315℃, RF-35 substrate exhibits outstanding thermal stability. Its extremely low moisture absorption rate, combined with a minimal dissipation factor, effectively mitigates phase shift across various frequencies. The employment of woven fabrics in its design ensures dimensional stability. Typically, these laminates are uniformly coated on either one or both surfaces with electrodeposited copper layers, available in thicknesses of 1/2 ounce, 1 ounce, or 2 ounces. |
