4-Layer Rigid-flex PCB Built on High Tg FR-4 and Polyimide Materials with ENIG

We're excited to announce our latest addition to our PCB lineup: the newly shipped rigid-flex PCB. This PCB is specifically designed to meet the needs of those requiring a flexible and rigid board, all in one.

Constructed with Tg170 FR-4 and Polyimide, and processed lead-free, it operates within a temperature range of -40℃ to +85℃, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The stackup consists of a 4-layer rigid-flex PCB, finished copper 35um, FR-4 Tg170 dielectric, prepreg (2x1080), base copper 35um, Polyimide core adhesiveless, base copper 35um, prepreg (2x1080), and FR-4 Tg170 dielectric finished copper 35um.

This rigid-flex PCB measures 121mm x 126 mm, with a minimum trace/space of 7/8 mils and a minimum hole size of 0.2mm. There are no blind or buried vias, and slotted holes defined as per Gerber are to be plated through. The PCB has a finished board thickness of 1.5mm for the rigid part and 0.25mm for the flexible part, with a finished Cu weight of 1 oz (1.4 mils) all layers and a via plating thickness of 1 mil.

This PCB comes with an ENIG surface finish, top and bottom silkscreens in white, and top and bottom solder masks in matt black. There is no silkscreen on solder pads, and it has 100% electrical test coverage. Additionally, it has 0.2mm via filled by resin and capped as per IPC-4761 Type VII, ensuring its durability.

This rigid-flex PCB is designed with 66 components, 152 total pads, 18 thru-hole pads, 64 top surface mount technology (SMT) pads, and 70 bottom SMT pads. There are a total of 87 vias and 26 nets. Impedance matching is not included.

We also supply a panelized solder paste stencil for the top side, with 3 fiducial marks on tooling strips. The type of artwork supplied is Gerber RS-274-X.
